the 670hi had counterbalanced crank for higher RPM, it also had aftercooler , some non HI engines had counter balanced cranks 670t eff sn 70-25868 NI UNI 803A also had an Allis Eng. All blocks_heads are basically the same, we have run into a few kinks in industial engs such as bosses not being drilled, different oil pans - cast oil pans and cast aluminum pans, different oil coolers, turbos exh manifolds (combines lean out at 45 deg angle) oil pump pickups etc.

Thankyou tbran for your reply. looking for the best way to get alittle more horsepower. We are running a six row cornhead in 200 bushel corn and unloading on the go, most times it's seems going uphill. Maybe overhauling the engine to new specs will bring it back to life. Would a ten percent increase in horsepower hurt anythingIJ lynn

Thankyou tbran for your information. Guess I"ll have to wait for the next harvest to see what this silver beast will do with a fresh engine. lynn
