My neighbor got a concave and cylinder setup from Saint Johns Welding, and he really likes the way it works. He said it sped him up 1 1_2 mph in beans and milo. His address is jvord@hotmail.com

Thanks for the good words about our stuff. Short description. Cylinder is a fully enclosed drum type with sectional bars made of chrome alloy mounted on it. The bars have 1_2" space between the teeth as opposed to 1_4" on OEM or 3_4" space which you'd have by removing 1_2 of them. large grains don't become caught between the teeth, but overlap is adequate for threshing small grains. The concave is extended toward the rear by adding 2 more crossbars on the same spacing which provides more threshing exposure and 1_3 more separation area on the grate. There's more to this, but don't want to get carried away here.

Usually don't enter into these, just read posts and go on since this is my kid's computer, but when I find a good product, I think it needs to be pointed out. We do wheat and milo in NC OK. WE installed this cylinder and concave combo from St. John's in '98, in an l2 (small engine) and installed dealer recommended setup in an l3 (big engine). the machine with the St. John's setup far surpassed the OEM in ground speed, capacity and cleaning. The dealer and St. john's both promised money back guarantee, so in '99we returned the setup to the dealer and installed another St. John's combo in the l3. We've run gleaners C's, G's, and l's for 30 some years and have never had them work this well.
