Anything green stripe (including the one and only green Gleaner we all see recently) had to have come along after Deutz bought Allis - so it would probably be '86 and later. All Hugger cornheads were for rotaries.
There were a very few huggers on M's and l's.I think the green stripe would be a series 3,an 8-30 cornhead,and a 24'flex were the biggest made for a l.Have seen a few l's with 8 rows don't know how they perform.
I used an 8 row 30 corn head on a l2 for years. Its OK if you don't mind harvesting at 2.5 miles an hour. The clean grain elevator can't handle the corn unless its dry. The grain tank usually is filled before you get across half mile.
