not too hard to do .just look in operator manual,in specs,find timeing,thinkit is 24deg BTDC,or 18 deg BTDC,been too long,anywayline up mark on dampner,and front cover,tip check index marks on pulley.should be straight. remove front cover.then remove coveron side of pump.you should see a line.nothing to line it to if you see line n1 is on tdc if no line turn over 360 degrees.remove gear then lines and pump
