Combines l3 size vs other combines

I would say an l3 would have a higher capacity than a 7720, close to an N5, comparable to an 860 Massey, Maybe a little more than a 1660 IH. Just my non-expert opinion. I have seen quite a few RWA M2,M3,l2,l3's in ads over the last few years so I don't think they are uncommon.

I think that the l3 is about the same size as the 7720 JD but i think that it has the capacity to cut more wheat than does the 7720 but they are about equal in the capacity.

l3 would be same capacity as 7700_7720_9500_9510 JD, 760_860 MF. After that it gets kind of murky as to how it compares to others. An l3 actually has the same grain tank capacity and maybe bigger than an 8820_9600_9610 JD, a TR 96_97_98_99 NH, and a 1480_1680_1688_2388 IH, however, these I believe have more hp, more inside capacity, and are set to run 30' headers and 12 row corn headers (IH didn't make a 12 row until this last model change though I figure they could run someone else's). An l3 can have an 8 row corn head, but I think it's rare to see one. I think an l3 would match up well against an N6_R6_and even an R60, but now it would just be camparable to an R52. Figuring this is about as hard as figuring who to compare my Dodge Dakota to, as it's bigger than the Ranger_S10 but smaller than F150.

An l3 is no match for an R60. Believe me we have both. It is comparable to a 7720 Deere or 1460 IH. The l3 is a very good machine but they are tough to find and usually the ones on the dealer lots are pretty much wore out.

I have a 1987 gleaner l3, used to run 7721 JD pulltype with 4640 JD tractor on front and the l3 would make a fool of the 7721JD so I know it will do better than a 7720 JD just do to the tractor has more Horsepower than the selfpropelled 7720 has. Our nieghbor runs a 9600 JD with 30ft. head and we run l3 with 24ft. head go around same pace up and down the fields only his are pretty green and mine are clean, think thats why he harrows his fields to get all the seed growing so its not in next years crop. The l3 is a tough machine to beat, and easy to work on, only thing is they are getting old and hard to find good one with low hours and not all wore out. Mine was a estate machine has only 1100 seperator hours and 1700 engine hours, so is in real nice shape.
