Combines large P3 Rotor

Cutting that 2nd bar from the gearbox on the small P3 could be an optional thing. When we Hypered our R52, some people were suggesting to leave it out completely, and some were suggesting to leave the whole bar in place. I'd think if you do mostly corn and beans, leaving it out would be ok. But we do some small grains and wanted every bar in place over the concave for full threshing capacity. I also wanted every other bar gone over the entire separating section for good separation. So we decided to cut that 2nd bar off right at the edge of the threshing concave. On the large P3, leave both sets in as the threshing concave is two bars wide.

I'd be sure cylinder bars are extended to area ahead of discharge. We have not monkeyed much with leaving bars off for corn isn't a big part of our crops. We do have a R70 that has a P3 rotor with sweeps stuffed in P1 cage and he has been doing fine. You will likely get by just fine in your area with every other bar removed or half height per hypers suggestions. Good luck
