Combines lateral Tilt IJIJIJ

I'm not sure the cost to retrofit, but it is a huge benefit with a 30' head in beans. I'll never leave home with out it.

I have lateral tilt R 72 w_ 324 flex. It took some doing (mounting and adjusting pots, changing height of feeeder house mount and u joint drive line) and it works great. Here in the hills it is constantly on the move. My anallogy is that it is like a hand petting a dog. It follows every contour. Caution do not buy it unless your dealer has the lap top computer and cables to calabate it and can show you that he knowns what he is doing. Agco has sold the tilt without giving proper dealer training. Shame on them. AGAIN no laptop, no lateral tilt. Yes we have good dealers but sometimes the service is only as good as you make it.

What do they adjust with the computerIJ We have the tilt and no one has said anything about having a computer hookup. Thanks Kurt

I think we added ours for about 5000 give or take a few hundred. Have really enjoyed it, with our 12R30 hugger and 800 flex, and 700 rigid. On the corn head I wish they would of put a sensor in the middle of the head so when crossing terraces it wouldn't take the top of the terrace off. By the way anyone have any ideals on adding a 3rd sensor to the middle of the headIJ For both automatic height and tilt. Thanks Kurt

Check with Headsight, I have put a couple of their systems on and they are using a center sensor with the two end ones and their system looks just like the ones that Gleaner is using. They are simple and should fit right into the Gleaner header height system.

The laptop program adjusts the sensetivity of system beyond that which is avaliable with the two upper knobs. You might get lucky and have a setting which works. If not the response may be too slow going through a dip or too quick with the result being a header which rocks constantly side to side and up and down. Then the only button that works is the off button. I think it adjusts some other facets of the system but I don't know beyond what I have said. The pertinent question is, does the dealer knowIJ So if paying the bucks ensure that the dealer has the program and laptop to service it or money back pledge. Word is the R_5's don't need seperate laptop. The adjustments can be done in cab w_o extra gear. Don't overlook the fact that a non lateral tilt head will not fit a lateral tilt machine without modification and vice versa.
