Combines lateral tilt needed

There is a system available for you. It is the lTM system from Hart Carter. Beginning in '98, you could fit the combine with a Smartrac system, which Gleaner developed. It is better than the lTM system, but the lTM system will surely work. The lTM system is available through the AGCO parts network. I have heard of people fitting a Smartrac system onto a pre-98 combine, but it requires considerable rework to make a good fit. The feeder house was made taller (deeper) in '98 to incorporate a larger front drum and the Smartrac system. The lTM works great; you'll wonder how you got along without it.

The old lTM was OK, but if you ever go to smartrac you'll call the lTM junk. Our first lTM was on a '95 R62 and we fiddled with it quite a bit before we were happy. Our first smartrac was on a '98 R72 and we calibrated it once went to the field and never adjusted it. lTM is OK, but smartract is much more like Deere's and CaseIH's systems.

Yes it is, it will be around the 5000 dollar mark and its not to bad to install I put on our 94 R62 a few years ago.

I have the lTM on '97 R-72. Had to torch out the upper right and left areas to allow room for the feeder drum to come up full amount - especially when tilted much. Check when installed for adequate clearances. Works fine. Good luck.
