Livestock Checkups

We have our large animal vet coming out in a couple of days to give all our livestock checkups. We typically only do this once a year. I choose the winter months because these months aren't as busy as the spring and summer months on the farm. When do you all have your vet come out to check out your livestock?

I don't usually do it on a routine basis. We're not breeding livestock or I'd have the vet come out to check them more often.

I like the way you think @Andrew T. That's a clever idea for scheduling things that way. I live on a hobby farm right now with few animals, but when I was younger, my parents had a huge farm with tons of livestock. They'd have the vet come out in the spring right before breeding season.

We haven't done routine checkups here, but we really should. It's important to try to prevent health issues when we can. I think I'll call our vet to see when he can make a visit.
