Combines locked out

I had that happen on a 4455 John Deere. A bolt came lose in the latch and tripped the lock. luckily I had another key from another tractor that happened to work.

G'Day Rod, yeah it happened to me in my 02 STS. And caused great mirth amongst the neighbours when the story got out.. We found that most earlier Deere tractor keys fit and work, but not our 9200. I think I must have inadvertantly turned the barrel back as i removed the key after unlocking it, so it opened from the inside, but not outside. Just get another key out of another combine- they are all the same- The key out of our 9600 worked in our 9750sts.

G'day Ham, Yes I have just read your story - I bet there was much merryment at your expence once the story had broken around the district. It looks like I will have to get another key and keep it on the outside of the cabin. Has "Cut-lunch" gone on holidays following this years harvest and the inevitable swelling of his_her bank account, or has his mind gone a blank following this years harvestIJ Cut-lunch's articles put farming in the right prospective.

life for Cut lunch is one long holiday!!!! but I'll deny ever saying that.......... : )
