Combines long Auger

If you're talking about the 3' extension for a 30' platform, they work fine - no problems at all.

Yes I am, but Maurer MFG offers two kinds. One bolts in right at the elbow and the other goes on the outer end. Just wondering which was better.

I have the one that bolts on at the elbow. I would think it would be heavier since it partially supports the weight of the rest of the auger. But, IF the end extension did something to prevent the auger from dripping grain after it is shut off, then I'd think it would be worth a try.

I have the extension that goes on the end. It was made by Stewart Steel, really helps with 30ft header. There is also a support that goes around auger housing at the saddle. Pretty easy to put on.
