I demoed a 8010 against my two 72 and i had 42 foot heads on mine it had a 36 foot head. I thought with the power that this thing had that it would out do mine. Not even close i was doing about 4.2 the 8010 was only able to go 3.5. The sample from the gleaner was alot cleaner then the case. The only thing i liked about the case was the cab, it was a little better then the 72's. That was the only thing, i think case should have done a little more testing. As for the CR970 I never got to try it i had to cancel the demo, but have heard good things about it. looks like your not getting any help from the gleaner goods here. It seems when asked if any thing bigger is coming out, nobody answers her. Colin

I think us Gleaner guys are worried that the next bigger Gleaner will have the rotor installed the WRONG way. That gets alot of us upset for they have not finished unleashing the full potential of Rs yet. I would like to compare with the machines mentioned above but have none around hear. Many of the guys that may have run against them likely had little degree of hyperizing if they did poorly. Factory corn soybean machines are still loaded with reverse bars. Hyperizing is a ongoing progect with little to no big financing and large steps taken most every year. It's hard to believe what 290 or 330hp can do if straw is flowing proper. If Gleaner would gather a few of us together we could give them the tips needed to jump a class size with what they have. They may even be able to bump up HP but I would take care of the straw flow first. Take care
