Combines low and High Tin

The differences are... High tin heads are older. High tin means the outside dividers are higher, they have a sharp rise to them versus the flat low profile of the low tin outside dividers. High tin and early low tin heads did not have the oil bath chain case...not a big deal. The rolls, chains, gearcases are the same. lots of people with the low tin heads buy extensions for the outside dividers to save the ears that can be lost. Now they have a high tin head. Hope this helps.

I use a high tin and prefer it to a low tin. Many people feel the high tin design saves more ears that a low tin. Never considered the oil bath a big deal. A lot fewer chains on a JD corn head than most makes.
