I may be wrong but I seem to remember Dad carefully drilling and putting in a few zerks but before that we used to run some gear oil through a small hose fitted into the upper end and let drip away for a bit at the begining of each season. I was fairly young then and my memory has been known to fail me a couple of times.

Hi Jbull, don't ever sell that '84 N6, I am learning so much from your questions. By the way, there is a small item about the swivel on the Hypermods site under the TIPS link. Also, I have a full parts manual for our machines, so if I can be of help in that area, let me know.

I'm trying to do most of the repair work and I'm relying on this board for help since our dealer closed this past winter. So I'm learning right along with you. John
