shaft size was increased in sn 79001 R72 as well as different sheave, brg and brg hsg. We had one do this , contacted service and they said chack scraper. Dirt scraper was not installed and pulley set up a vibration due to out of balance condition. After installation of new items have not heard from it since. Make sure alaignment is correct and outer brg support assy is tight and not flexing under load.

These rubber flex plates have been near zero trouble since they started using in '87. They are quite forgiving on alignment but yours must be off. I don't believe there is a provision to adjust alignment or a stub for end of PTO shaft which you would need to check out the way we did the old spring damper plate setups. I would suggest you mount up a laser to flywheel with PTO shaft removed. Tape a piece of paper over bearing holder hole. Aim laser as close as posible to center of bearing holder hole. Turn engine over a complete revolution. Fine tune aim of laser if needed and repeat as needed. Mark trail of lazer and center point of bearing holder hole. laser point should be dead center in bearing holder hole. I doubt rear engine mount or bearing mount plate holes are large enough to change alignment so you may need to elongate as needed. Good luck
