Size wise, the R52 is twice the capacity of the M2 and the M2 takes an lM or A head and the R will take the late N and all R series heads including the Hugger. The Rotaries are a right offset throat on the head and the Conventionals are a centered throat head. I have read of some people putting the time and money into adapting the A head to the rotaries but it is hard to beat the Hugger and R heads for the rotaries. I personally went from an M2 to an N6 Series 3 and "WOW" what a difference. Went from under 2mph in 200+ corn with the M2 to 6-7mph in the N6 with a 6R30 head. Good luck! Glad to help!
