Combines M2 thresher raddle trouble

the raddle shaft has a stubshaft screwed into the raddle shaft. The stub shaft carries the slipclutch. The slip clutch is shimmed or tightened by shim washers between brass bushings on slip clutch and bearing collar. Too tight and you will twist shaft. Too loose and its slipp city. In corn you need a 25 tooth spkt driving thresher beater(lh cyl. spkt) and remove or raise metal curtain over upper raddle. I do NOT agree about removing THRESHER BEATER some have suggested. Dans comment on backfeed rods are right on. Have you checked the the upper idlers 71160426'sIJ good luck ---ps lower raddle needs to be run tight. You should have to use both hands to shift ca550 links on drive sprockets. When it doable but difficult you got her right. New chain will set in quick and will need initial readjustment.

Agcoman, Dido to everything T-bran mentioned.Have also had a couple of customers forget to retighten 3_8" carriage bolts in floor and sides of thresher raddle adjustments. When chain is running, slat will catch carriage bolt head and rattle clutch if you are lucky.Unfortunatly, have seen them twist stubshaft. Also make sure that floor is not cracking at lower corners, slat can also get caught here too. Good luck, Hyper Harvest II
