A l2 is just a wider M2. It has 1 more straw walker than the M2. l2 has more capacity. lots of the parts interchange. I quess it comes down to acreage and price. Good luck! Eddy
I think Id go with the l2 just because it should have more HP. But there was a choice of about 3 motors at least in the l2. and id assume the M2 as well. I had an l2 with the 158 hp motor and it wasnt overpowered if you have anything but flat country. It does seem like the more HP you have...... the more you use..
I personally have not run an l2 but have just purchased one to run along with my F. I have seen on earlier posts that you could expect a 20% increase in capacity going from an M2 to an l2. I have heard from others to expect a 25% increase in capacity.
The l2 is about 25% bigger than the M2. If the l2 looks good to you I would suggest you buy it and let someone else fix your M2. You will be pleased with the upgrade.
