Yes had that problem with very short crops. Centre belt can't pick up short crop so it just pushes a strip in the middle. After doing 2 centre belts, 2 bearings one roller, a spring, 3 hoses, a flat tyre, a knife head and replacing both draper belts in the first 1000 hours, I swapped it for a new 1010 front before the 1042 broke me.
