Combines malfunctioning reel speed adjustment 1680

Check the ground wire on one of the bolts holding the cover on the top of the feeder above the upper feeder shaft. You can adjust the speed of the reeel or pickup manualy with a screw on the control valve if all else fails. CardaleBob

Yes I have checked that and there is no ground dealership told me not alll of them are grounded like that. I know about the screw but i am really hoping to get it working properly. thanks shawn

I dont know about 1680 but my 2188 the reel or picker seems to "hang up" for 1_2 turn then go fine for about 2 turns. Seems to be surging-- there is a service bulletin--.030 shim that goes in to correct this-- cost about $15.00. I could get a part number for you in a couple of days.
