Sharecropper, There is some discussion on Marlins posted up on 12-12-02. Then if you want more, go all the way back to Nov-9-01, some good discussion including the man who invented the Marlin. I think he is from Manitoba, I've talked to him, he works at CIH dealership. You'll find him very interesting.

I may be interested. I just got a 91 1680 and it's in good shape, but I've yet to look at the elephant ears. If you want, email me with what you would be asking for them. thanks, Pat Pat@harmetfarms.com

John, I've heard that the Marlin impellers aren't as good as the OEM's.

We run Marlins in both of our 1688 with specialty rotors,we would never go back to the IH impeller blades. There is no more growling noise when your in tough straw,I think it is well worth buying them.We harvest Hard red spring wheat,Peas,Canola, and flax with them and never had any problems.I know they work well in tough straw and grain because we will start in our wheat at 18% moisture and they work great,we all ways had that growling noise with the IH ones, hope this helps you out.
