If you want a MF8680 or C62 make sure all the updates have been completed to ensure a longer life of rear grain conveyor. This conveyor has given trouble in the past but AGCO seems to be getting it figured out.Plus the conveyer belt is still being paid for by AGCO even after warranty ends.last thing; rumor has it the MF 8680 has not been produced since 2002 and may never be again.

would be interested in what mods have been done to yours for rear conveyor..only thing done to mine was improved sealing strips along the edges.... I've heard someone on here talk about a slowdown kit...do you have that IJ and did Agco supply it or did you have to pay for it IJ so far they have replaced my conveyor belt once and I am now due for another one this year

We have run 1 2 years and put in 2 conveyor belts each year even after updates. Would love to get rid of this combine.

Other mods that agco has come up with are ;sqare tubes welded over front roller on each side to prevent edges of conveyor for flipping ;steel lugs on accel roller; high speed distribution auger (one over accel);tin shields over stawwalker blocks (center 3).In addtion when we have a combine apart we weld six paddles too the high speed distribution auger.we found that with the old auger, bearded crops would bridge at front of conveyor, with the high speed auger the grain was brought too the center too fast and over load the center of the sieve, leaveing a streak of grain around the field,so I welded on six paddles as seen on a gleaner and solved that problem.with the conveyor out we also added two more false floors too help carry the weight.the false floors are cheap and easy to install.Since these improvements we have some combines entering there third year on the same conveyor belt.We aslo speed up the beaters too help knock the grain out of the straw....,but that's a anther story

Don't want to start color wars but I've used one before and currently own a different brand. There are much better choices out there for conventional combines.

That's what I've been hearing, and the only 2 Gleaner_MF conventionals in our area which were traded had been traded-in on rotaries. In other words, the owners of these combines did not opt to buy another one; - a poor sign. I'm nor particularly fond of my local Deere dealer, and we have no CAT_Challenger dealers locally, so my choices are limited.
