STS' painted REDIJ lOl..........don't know. I've always liked the axial flow's for the most part. Must be others that agree with me and have more funding than I did at the time I bought my green one.

I have no production numbers for either Case or Deere but it is 5 to 1 odds on combines headed west on Interstate 80 on semi's. Have seen 2 Massey's and 3 Cat's headed east. And as of yet No Gleaners or TR's. Just the facts!

AllEN, With what you just said how can you say the number produced is low . When you were there they told you they could make 4 a week. I dont know how your figuring, but 4 x 52 weeks =208 And dont forget that they were shut down for awhile when they were moving. So 400 combines built in a year is legit I think . And if you were Agco why would you be building more then you could sell. These dealers sure dont want them on there lots if there not sold. You said something about Kuhn's I was just there 2 weeks ago in Arthur to buy a 12 row cornhead from them and I didnt see a BRAND NEW massey or gleaner on there lot there or at Taylorville and I would say that Kuhn's is probably the biggest Massey dealer in the state. Illinois Gleaner

think again in this this district here it is Chrisman Farm Center in chrisman illinois that is the leader in MF equipment in this district he has the awards to prove it. just to give you guys some numbers out there he has I think 3 combines running in Flordia cutting grass seed, i think 2 running in the carolina's somewhere i think north but somewhere down there. i know he has a few over around indianaplois indiana. Then he has one over around st. louis missouri. yes they were only building 4 per day but think bout it they were still getting into the routine and knowing how all parts go and such. so far this year he has 4 new combines and 2 were just delivered this week. far as i know the salesmen in chrisman are doing one heck of a job to sell combines all the way to florida and the carolina's.

Funny numbers,I know that the dealer in Saskatoon sells anywhere between 10 to 20 new combines a year and the dealer in Yorkton is usually around 10 to 15 a year and these aren't the largest Massey dealers in the country.

Thank you, Kidroff, I must agree it is rather useless to trifle over such matters. I read all the comments. Sure, some were just jokes, all in fun, but I think it would only be worthwhile if someone actually could find last year's combine production listed by manufacturer. Until at least 4 years ago, I got production numbers from IandT. Still, it was only industry-wide, and not itemized by company. Even so, these were only PRODUCTION figures and cannot be accurately matched to total SAlES. Such combine trivia is interesting enough, but not worth troubling over. What IS important is taking utmost care of the combines we do have at hand. Even if they could, do you think the combines would even care what color they areIJ That goes especially true for any so-called "Massey" made by AGCO. Just how many farmers really know the conv. Masseys AND Gleaners are neither from the get-go. They're Claas-made, so their closest relative is the lexion, Mercator, Dominator, etc.In fact, they are the SAME model just painted different colors. How does that grab any of you color-based supremacists out thereIJ Just take good care of your combines, folks. They desperately need that, and STOP this color_race_breed or whatever thing!!!

I did not know the conventional AGCO combines-both red and silver were not Claas imports anymore. I do find this interesting. Are you saying that if I go to Hesston, I can expect to see these made right thereIJ If so, I will schedule a visit.
