There going with SISU engines. Big improvment in my opinion. There's Valtras out there with 15,000hrs or more on them. There a good engine. The new 9890 will have the SISU engine. Take care, Nathan

I was wondering what has been the problems with the cummins engines that it seems like no one likes them. The guys who i work for run 2 R-72's one with an l-10 and one with an M-11 and they seem to work good and havent had any problems with them. Both motors have lots of power.

From what i've heard, Cummins wants out of the AG business. Don't know why they just do. All new Massey Combines will have the Sisu engine. Not sure on Gleaner. Did hear the Sisu will go in the Gleaner but also heard AGCO will put one of their own in there. Just like they did in the new DT series. The Sisu is the biggest improvement. If you don't could the old White Rotor going in. Take care, Nathan

SISU diesel engines will go into both Massey and eventually Gleaner combines. Challenger will remain Caterpillar.

There is really nothing extremely wrong with the Cummins engines. They are good powerplants. Agco acquired Sisu engine works so I would assume sisu will be going into alot of Agco equipment from here on. The sisu is an extremely durable power plant. Excellent fuel economy and very long life engines. You can go to agco's website to check out the jive on the sisu engines.

If Cummins wanted out of the AG business why would they have spent all the money on the QSX series for the CaseIH STX seriesIJ Duetz engines were going to revolutionize the ag business too and they were_are junk in a combine. Sisu will probably go the same route. lets see an engine made overseas by a company AGCO bought. Sounds like it will be expensive to maintain and take weeks to get parts. Just what I want.
