Check with Marvin Gordon. He is the specialty rotor guru. He'll want to sell you some Gordon bars too, and you probably should have them for best performance. Click on ATTACHMENTS at the left or go to FEEDBACK at the top of the page.
Take every other wire out of the last two concaves for sure, and if it was mine I would take every other wire out of all three concaves. Set the concave clearence on three, the the rotor speed 450 to 500 and the air at 1050 to 1100. If your 2166 is up to par you should be able to drive 4 to 4.5. Your only limiting factor is cutting corn at 30% moisture. K.A.
Thanks for the advice. I just talked to my case rep. today and he thinks my biggest holdup as far as capacity goes will be my clean grain elevator. What is your opinion, have you ever had any problems with this in higher yielding cornIJ I'am installing an extra bubble up auger to help clear the corn in my grain tank hopping this will help take a little stress of my clean grain slip clutch. I guess time will tell. Wanting to get started tommorow if this storm system moves on out. Thanks NDB.
