justincase, if you are looking for a 12 row corn head I have a 1263 IH conversion in excellent condition I am wanting to sell. It has very low acres on chains and knives, new paint and straight tin. I would let it go for $12500, I bought it for a corn job out in South Dakota but lost out on the job due to crop failure so I am letting it go for what I have in it. If you are interested or would like pictures email me at jfarms@johnsonharvesting.com

If your are going to put a twelve row on a 2388, you should be able to get a good population count at about 1.5 miles an hour. Better stick with the 8 row.

i just bought a new case ih corn head 12 row 30 and have it on my 2388. we just started harvest and here are the results. Corn is testing 17%, making 130 bu_ac, @ 5.5 to 6 mph with a standard rotor with very very little loss out the combine. I really like the 12 row. We have duals and maurer extensions with a stewart steel unloader auger extension which really helps dump into the big grain carts. That is my input, if you have any more questions, let me know. We have a 24 row planter ordered (deere 1770 CCS) and i am really looking forward to it.
