I have installed them, go by the direction and you will be ok, You might have to change the pistion of the rod into different hole, you will have to try it to see how it works, they work great with this set up.

Tyzer, Just installed one today and will give you some ideas on this. On Page 9 of the installing, Step 5 it shows you where to drill the holes. The number 2 distance is actual measured from the center of the last holes, then down, on the frame. The picture is misleading where to start from. This 1-49_64". Measure and drill the hole to the front of the header first. Measure the 1-49_64" down on the back part of the frame. Then mount the linkage loose to the top bolts and to the hole you just drilled at the front. Use a center punch to get the exact drilling for the back bolt. I used a 17_64" drill to give you a little room for fitting. One more thing, it you have a 1660 you will have to purchase an additional adapter that turns the current around from the potentiometer. Part number is 87412210 about $12.00 Hope this helps.....any other questions just ask. Jack in MN

Thanks for the info. I just put mine on today and noticed the picture was misleading also. One problem yet, I got it all hooked up and when I lower the head it gets to the bottom and then just jumps up and down. I messed around for a long time trying different things and can't get it to work right. I even put my old one back on and it still does it although not as bad. It's like it doesn't have a nuetral either has to go up or down. Maybe it's with the combine since it did it some with the old one too. It's a 1640 and I do have the wire harness adapter. I think I have tried everything, but would like to hear any ideas.

Check if you have a spring on the right side to pull the "feelers" to a header down position. This helps keep make the header want to go down when you press the header switch. JWK
