This is Richard I am not sure about the electrical system I know that mine came with a 12 volt battery but it could be a 6 volt system. I am not to good with anything electrical but you may be able to tell what voltage it is by looking at the tag on the starter housing. I would imagine that you will be using a special screen in place of the regular cleaning sieve if you are using it for combining grass seed. An operators manual is very helpful if you do not have one you should be able to get one through a dealer. And for the screens I would start with a dealer also I know of a couple of places for aftermarket parts you problably already know of them though one is Abilene Machine, I beleive they have a website and another one is Sloan Express www.sloanex.com. Do you already have some grass screensIJ I will watch this site and email you in the morning. Talk to you later.

richard, i never even thought of the differnt screens, but i guess your right. i dont know about if it already has em or not, this guy has so much junk laying around i wouldnt doubt if he did. i hae heard of abilene machine but not sloanex. i'll give tehm a look and see what i come up with.i would say since its a 67 model with d17 engine it would be a 12volt but i just wanted to make sure. hope im not being a burdon on you, by asking questions like this(probley stupid) and i figured people might want to see my new find, even if its not an N6 or something of that nature you know. john

John your right it problably is a 12 volt system because it is a later model machine. There is no burdon I really enjoy talking about this. I know that Gleaners like the model E are excellent for combining grass seed because they can clean the seed so well. They are excellent in any crop wether its small grains, grass or corn. I sure look foward to seeing a picture of your E. I will watch this forum and talk to you later. Richard
