the concave adjusting lever ( in the cab) might be bent and the " tab " that locks and unlocks the arm might not be engaging properly. If the arm is bent, you probably can't get the arm up high enough to close the concave. I cured this problem on my old 750 by adjusting the turnbuckle under the cab and holding the arm in place with vicegrips. I suspect that my problem was caused by a " wad " of material going through the machine. I changed the lever and reinforced it but it happened again, hence the vicegrips.
