dont know about massey tractors but the 8780 xp that i been running will keep up with my 9750 STS deeres and my 2388 CIHs we run through about 12,000 acres of corn and soybeans so far the massey has done an excellent job of replacing my NH TR99 that i had before this is also the first massey combine i have ever owned i think you might want to look for a bigger head i push a 12 row deere head

I am glad to hear you like your XP combine. Maybe change is good for all of us. I think MF tractors are OK as I have a Agco-allis that is the same as a MF. We have 1500 hrs on it and have not had to many problems. Fuel tank got a hole in it and had to be replaced and fuel primer pump on side engine went out. The engine is real good on fuel and has a lot of snap to it. Overall not bad tractors as good as my New Hollands.

I currently run two Massey rotory combines and I think they are a very high capacity combine with very little downtime.I traded a couple of 860s for a couple of 8570 and I was leary at first about going from conventional to rotory but now I wish that I had done before.A neighbor has a 8780 and he can't say enough good things about it.

We have a 8570 that we use a 6 row corn head and 20 foot flex on. The combine has plenty capacity for both heads. It's been a reliable machine for us so far. Just be carefull in damp stem soybeans, its easy to rope the stems and stall the rotor.

If this is ths same NewOHFarmer from the JD message board, i thought you were looking for a JD 3300. The information doesnt match up between the posts, you said you are starting out with a little bit of land. I dont remeber anything about a JD 9510.

my uncle has a new 8260 massey tractor and we have had nothing but problems... First the injectors went after about 300 hrs and then the govenor went... I would stay with the deeres.
