Combines Michelin tires

My guess is that when he said 16" he meant 8" on a side. We run the 1050_50R32's on a 1680 with 7-1_2" extensions on each side and the rims are nearly centered. That gives us a lot of room between the tires and the side of the machine, so we could have easily used 4" extensions if we wanted to live with less mud clearance.

Thanks for info.Farmer used spacer from dual setup, said he had lots of clearance, would like to be narrower.JD recommends 4.5 inches offset maximum on single wheel, with this large rim less offset should be better. We ordered rims with no offset, hope we won't be looking for new spacers.

less offset in the rim is always better to keep stress down in the rim. However, if the spacer goes between the rim and the final drive, it will add stress to the final drive. The very best way to go would be to use axle extensions (with the tie rod that runs between them) to move the final drives outward, and then use a little negative offset in the rim to place the tire where you want it. That would put the load more in line with the final drive, which is the goal. We had custom rims made, so we specified 1" thick centers. However, if you do that I suggest countersinking the area around the studs or you may need longer studs.
