Yes, that really increases the capacity. It seemed with the second screen in place I would get a buildup of small corn stalk" sticks" caught between the top screen and middle screen that would have to be removed from time to time. Another trick is to open the front of the top screen all the way and crank the air all the way up. This is something the Massey combime specialists used to suggest at combine meetings. There was a round hole screen that could be added to the front of the bottom screen that kept a majority of cob parts from falling straight through to the clean grain auger. They are listed as an accesory in the owners manual
