Combines Modifying rear of N series for better chaff spread

Allis actually made a kit to change the back end to make chaff distribution better, not sure if it is still available, but your dealer may have the info on it to show you what I mean. They made movable fins, and they did flatten them out to make them go farther. We have been going to try to make this change for couple years, but haven't done it yet. Hope this helps. Kirk

Pete I was also dissatisfied with the spread of residue from both the shoe and cylinder discharge for years from my N6. I finally modified both and am very pleased with the job it does now. Send me your email address again and I'll send some digital pictures of what I've done. Are you done with harvestIJ I've got a few days to finish up beans. Gamaman

Here is my email. We are done with beans and have 60 acres of corn left.Yields- beans;50-60 corn;120-200. Some are having problems with aflitoxin (spIJ). Not bad for almost no rain in June, July and August. Thanks, Pete
