Combines mods in edible beans

The only other mods we do are the slow down for the clean grain elevator and the edible bean kit for the cage,(helical bars and run 2 reverse bar in very dry conditions and no reverse bars in tough conditions). You need to remove the crop divider also. This year we have fought super dry beans with tough vines. A bad combination for splits, otherwise very good yeilds and great bean quality.

Yes there is. Very simple to install, it's just a larger sprocket the the clean grain drive. Just ask your local dealer about the kit and you'll be in business. You'll be suprised how many cracks occur in the clean grain augers and paddles, when slowed down the cracks are reduced greatly.

Year and model of machine makes some difference. Screened header bottoms are a good idea. Channel helicals are best and must be chromed. If not channel helicals in a P1 the helicals must be shimmed up or double stacked with green stem kit installed. Best to try get rid of reverse cylinder bars. Remove paddles from rear accelerator roll on P1's and front ones on P3's if beans get very dry. Depending on model some have installed different drive for accelerator rolls to slow them up by at least 25% and then leave paddles installed. Some idle machine back which slows up accelerator rolls and clean grain system but some work may need to be done to some shaft monitor sensing collars to keep lights off. Depending on year and model there are different ways to slow up clean grain system. I have raised clean grain auger on some machines to prevent pinching beans under auger. On some machines the flighting in bottom of grain tank should be extended to get it closer to ujoint which reduces dead area. I have fastened paddles on outward yoke of grain tank unloading system to further reduce dead area. So you see there are a few things you can do to optimize performance again it makes quite a difference what year and model you have.
