Combines moister tester

I know what you mean - we had an occasional green weed stem get stuck on ours during small grain harvest and the moisture was pegged on "you gotta be nuts for cutting this wet crap" for quite some time before we finally realized what was going on. Seems I read somewhere that the testers that are mounted IN the tube, rather than out at the end are less likely to have this happen. I also have wondered how much new grain flows over that sensor after the bin fills up to that point.

I have the same problem my dealer said there is to be a update campain to relocate the sensor also i found when the grain bin got 2_3 full the mositure reading got wetter must be because of the added wieght of the grain on the sensor

For your reel speed, check the wiring on the right side of the feeder house, some of the harnesses were made short and it may be pulling on the plug and losing connection,I think theres a plug in the harness too.

Yea it is likely in them wires if it works when moving head up or down. I have seen the harness to look perfectly fine where wire bends every time head is raised or lowered but the wire is broken inside it and the insulation. I would strip harness apart and pull on wires. The wire that stretches has broken inside the insulation. Good luck
