sorry it took so long but we got it going and seems like we havent stopped since. We took the pump off with the help of a guy from our dealership. He showed us how to just lift it up through the top and you dont have to remove any sheet metal from the side. Very quick. The shaft and coupler were both worn out. The serviceman took it back to the shop and replaced the shaft. The coupler had a zerk on it so it must have already been replaced once, but it was dry inside. The shaft was $385 and the coupler was $378 and probably 5 serviceman hours on the job. Our machine has 2300 hrs on it and we just bought it last summer. It has been a good machine. We had an afx rotor put in it when we bought it, has made a big difference in tough conditions. They sure didnt have the gap set right on the front rotor bearing when they put the new rotor in, we did 30 acres and it went out but that is a whole other story. Hopefully no more breakdowns for a while. Thanks everyone for the info!
