Could the thermostat be stickingIJ I know you mentioned you blew it all off but was the radiator very dirty before you cleaned it. How about the radiator cap could that be badIJ I am just grabbing at straws for you I am sure you have thought of all these things. My combine had a heating problem till I took the radiator out and had it boiled it really cleaned it and haven't had trouble for a long time. Good luck to you I know it is very frustrating.
Check to make sure your rotary screen is turning, the pivot on the tightener pulley on mine was sticking and then the screen wouldn't turn that will cause a big problem
thanks, i got so sick of it, i took the old rad out and put a rebuilt in. prob sloved, now if i could just get the cobs and husks out of the tank. massyman
I set my front concave clearance as the same size as the cob, usually 7_8-1 inch. Run the cylinder speed just enough to get the corn off and check your sieve settings to get the cobs out. As for the husks check your fan speed and deflector boards so they are set right. The old 750 is a good machine and will do a great job if you set it right
customcutter2 is the kind of guy for whom you volunteer to dig a grave. What made a big difference on my Massey was replacing the bearings on the rotary screen.
Pull the radiator and get it rodded out or replace it with a new or rebuilt one. The only solution is this. Also you need to pull fan shroud back and remove fan and clean out twice a year this way even after you replace it. Massey was a little short on cooling in all 700 and 800 machines. sorry you got burned, replace the radiator cap as well. 16 lb. or bigger.
