Mother's Day plans?

Do you have any plans for Mother's Day this Sunday? My husband and kids usually do something for me. I kind of miss getting little drawings and stuff like I did when the kids were little. They grow up so fast! I've never been close to my own mother, so I always feel a little melancholy on Mother's Day too. It's hard to whine though when my family has been fortunate. We have survived the pandemic so far. That's a gift in itself.

Our mothers have long passed away. We miss them, plus there's a lot of regret there, so I understand what you mean about feeling melancholy today. Our kids are grown and have children of their own, but they still send my wife flowers and cards, which helps brighten things up. I hope you're able to have some fun with your family today, Urban Homestead, without the past intruding too much.

Our family had a nice, quiet day at home. My husband made me breakfast in bed, and then I played games with my kids. We're waiting to go out until Covid restrictions loosen up.
