Combines Motor Oil

I use AGCO 15W40 in all my diesel engines.

i use farm oyl premere 15w40 in all my engines except my car

My only experience with Deutz eng. was very good.The engine had good power,few leaks and no oil consumption. I used 15-40 Chevron Delo. Same oil in Ford pickups and Cat, Cummins truck engines. Still using it in R-72 with M-11 Cummins. Sometimes it's hard to find in North Dakota, but not really a problem. The Deutz was also in R-72 94 mod.

many years ago i used SAE 40 in summer and SAE 20 in winter but now I use 15W40 and my deutz engine had 12000 hours w_o problems. I add some Wynn's For Oil in the oil. Now some Deutz engines (BF6l913C) use sintetic oil because of the high temp in these engines.

Viscosity of oil in other posts has to do with expected temperature range. Make sure the oil you use has API code for diesel engine; i.e. code begins with c as in cd; ce; cf; cg, etc. Oil for gasoline engines has codes beginning with s....
