RB,I always move my combines down there ahead of time so when the wheat is ready all I have to do is hook my campers up and drive down there and start cutting. My oldest son who does not help me on the harvest anymore has a real job as an agronomist, but he always likes to help move down there. He loves driving a truck pulling a combine. A few weeks later he gets real busy with his agronomy work scouting corn and bean fields so I do it when it works for him. The other thing with the combines out of here I can get some other things done on my farm in Central Kansas. K.A.

Dakota, That was not me. All I put in the back of my tandems are 30' headers but just like you I told that guy whoever he was to call Pauls at Buhler. Hey why were you not at the Harvesters safty meeting in colby yesterday. You missed a good one. K.A.

Unit 2, Wondering if you were anywhere near the Enid_lahoma area when you moved down or have an idea of when that area might start harvesting. Also how did crop lookIJ Just curious because the crew I am going with starts in that area and wondered when I might have to be out there. Thanks for any info and hopefully ya have a good run. Kevco, We were about 20 miles west of lahoma. My best guess is that harvest in that area will start between the 1st and 5th of June. I though the wheat across Western Oklahoma looked as good as I've ever seen it. When you get into Southwestern Oklahoma it gets poorer. Good luck to you and the crew you're working for. Is this your first year on the harvestIJ

We are on our way south in about an hour from now. I sure am ready to get down there and for the harvest to begin. I just dread the 1000 mile move from here to there then back home for another load, I guess thats the way it goes. Hope everybody has a safe and fun harvest this year..

Unit 2, This is going to be my third year, and possibly my last, on the harvest. I was fortunate enough to find a crew to hire me when I was 17 and have went with them every year since until we get to North Dakota and I have to return to Ontario for school. I have enjoyed the harvest run with the exception of last years crop condition Kevco
