Bees aren't really livestock, so I thought this thread might fit here.
Do you all move your bee hive/s for the winter? I started keeping bees a couple of years ago. It's definitely been a learning experience. The first year, I lost quite a few bees during winter. I learned that I needed to move my hive to a sunny place where the hive is protected from the wind to give them the best chance at survival. I move my hive to the treeline during winter - a place that gets a fair amount of sun during the day and protects the hive from wind a little.
