Combines mustard

My dad raised it years ago when I was knee high to a grasshopper. He did it for a number of years but quit when the price got too cheap. From what I remember and know now it goes pretty easy. He was running a 750 at that time. Maybe once we get done with taxes here I will talk to him about it. Kinda busy right now though!!

Have harvested Brown Mustard. I presume it is, or going to be windrowedIJ Combines the same as canola. Brown Mustard has to be swathed at 60-70% . If swathed to green, seed will loose weight and have to much green count. Post email if more info needed.

Got a little info out of my dad...ur gonna need to swat it first. Its not much different than canola in terms of harvesting. Good luck.

Combining mustard is very easy. Only thing is, is that you can straight cut yellow mustard, but should swath and roll brown mustard. Brown mustard is swathed at about 70% ripe. If you wait till it is completly ripe, you may loose a lot due to shelling, wind etc.
