I had the same problem with a 925F on a 9600. Opened the accumulator until it stayed put.

Try slowing the header rate of drop valve. lots of times the header drops too fast, it goes beyond the low limit, then raises to correct it, then lowers again and again etc. This valve is above the feeder house, under the cab, in line with the lift oil lines.

ckeck the flexrod(runs full length of header under skid plates) make sure it moves freely and that it is up all the way when you raise the head off the ground. you may have to replace the spring on the left hand side,or add another to help retract it. this has to do w_ the corect voltage that the DAM sences. if voltage is to high when up, or down it will make the head do the CHA_CHA, the mombo, and the fox trot all at the same time. one turn open on float acc. should be enough. otherwise it may act slugish. I've had prblems w_ mine too this yr. but once I got the rod to move freely and the voltage adjusted no more than 4 volts when raised, and no less than 1-1.5 when down it works like a champ now. good luck
