Combines N 7 wiring diagrams

Operators manuals have about best diagrams I've seen from any product or manufacture. You won't get a super good ground for it is grounded threw coils on hydralic stack if machine has the corn head varible. If no corn head varible there would be a set of coils in cab that provide path to ground. That way one of the coils gets currant when switch is rocked the one way and other when switch is rocked the oppisite way. Coil is weak enough that it don't such up a bunch of currant but strong enough to provide good enough ground. If little electric motor is getting sticky it may work when you provide dead ground and maybe won't when getting grounded threw coil. If you have corn varible be sure wire isn't broken at hydralic stack where push on connector is attached. It may look good but wire strands could be broke under insulation. Also the coil gets grounded threw the stud on hydralic stack so remove it and shine up steel surfaces. Good luck

Thanks for info.. I don't have variable head speed so I must have coils in the cab. Do you remember where they are and what they look likeIJ Interesting to me that the combine has a double pole, double throw switch but it only uses half of it. I lost my owner's manual a number of years ago. I don't remember it having a wiring diagram.

Pull covers off outside of cab to get look at back side of fuze block area. The resister assembly will be there with the same color wires that are on switch. You may want to look back at hydralic valve stack to see if them color wires are hooked to anything. Sometimes I have seen the coils for varible header speed there even though no varible and they were being used to control ground circuit. Operator manual would of had excellent wiring schematics that even I can understand. I have never come across better drawings. Good luck.
