Combines N and R heads

we ran a 327 on a 96 model.u will need to wire it if you want to control the reel speed from the cab.or u can run hydraulic lines from the combine couplers to the reel(the better way to go if your planning on keeping this header).the wiring on our header had 2 connectors,to raise reel speed one wire had to be positive and the other negative. to lower reel speed the wire that was positive had to be grounded and the wire that was grounded has to be positive.i rigged ours with two toggle switches and a momentary push button switch.this was a lot cheaper but if i had to do it again i would go the hose route without even thinking twice.

I believe a N cornhead for a '82 or newer machine will fit right on. Some floor work to bed under auger will help feed the material to narrower R52 feeder. Unsure if auger flighting will bring material over far enough but not a big deal to change. Just be sure head was on a '82 or newer machine or else be prepaired to buy some adapter package.
