tom... did u tell him to spread the pulleys apart as far as possible(lower),and pump a t least 1 tube of grease in the vs sheave or stop when he sees grease come out behind the back sheaveIJIJIJ this has cured almost all our ch vspeed problems. they will swear they grease it all the time (as i did allis chalmers 15 years ago)until they explained to me after they did this they would snap the belt with a dyno on it for a load before it would slip.i went to my customer having trouble and put a tube of grease in it and that was my problem too, hope this helps tom

Yes , customer swears he is greasing it, and swears it was assembled with grease. I still think that the corn head has a gearbox dragging.

Perhaps you could take a Hugger out for him to try for a day to see if its his head or his combine. Heck, he might (ok, probably will) like it well enough to buy it from you! Tom langan
