Combines N5 parts on N6

Have you considered a Parts Catalog from your dealerIJ Even if you dont buy the parts machine, a Parts Catalog is handy to have. I wouldnt own a combine without one. Tom in MN

Amen to the parts catalog, I had one for my F2 and now with my N6. That catolog really speeds things up when things break in ordering parts and also it shows how things go together. like Tom I would not own a machine without it. Pete Hinrichsen

Parts catalogs are great, but they can sometimes be wrong too, if you are close to a serial number change like my N6 is, or had several updates, like I have the long throat on mine to use the newer heads,not in your parts book unless you know it and update the number. My machine is a real guessing game when getting parts. It is easier to take off the broken_old and say match it! I was lucky enough to get a C2 that way and an F(that was 10 before the F2)it was my 50_50 machine.

Does it pay to have your money tied up in a parts machineIJ Most of the usual wear parts (cage,helicals,cylinder bars, etc..)are probably wore out on your parts machine anyway. It seems to me that the only good a parts machine would be is for something catastrophic like the fan or large shaft or pulley. My $.02 worth, Pete Hinrichsen
