Are the heads left on the ground being run through the machine or is the header pitching them outIJ If they are partially threshed then you must reduce the concave clearance and maybe put some filler bars in too. Are the thresher bars excessively wornIJ The adjustments for chaffer and sieve should be levers at the back of the chaffer. In order to get to the sieve adjustment it is necessary to open the door on the back of the shaker shoe. If someone has replaced the original sieves with air-foil sieves, then there is no adjustment for them. Have you checked the condition of the Accelerator rolls. If they are worn, you will throw stuff over regardless of your sieve settings. One more thing to look at is the condition of the edge of the fliting on the big auger in the header. If the edges have worn rounded they should be at least be ground flat or at best, built up with a bead of weld and then ground flat. If the auger is feeding in slugs, it is impossible to get a good job threshing and seperating, regardless of machine or other settings.
