Combines N6 Hydraulic Pump Misalignment

Don't remember ever having to shim bell casting piece but that is what you need to do if it is off. Gleaner has a tool that screws onto PTO shaft in place of nut and it has flange on it that just clears inside pump mount hole. If tool binds in hole very much than you need to do some shimming. I one time had a coupling that had spline block welded off center to holes. I cut and rewelded on center with the help of old pump shaft. The guy had been having trouble keeping rubbers in and it looked like rubbers were going to jump out of there when we had it running. Otherwise about the only thing I've seen ruin them rubbers is a wrapped up chopper belt or main drive belt. Good luck

MY misallignment is parallel to the surface of the plates. In other words, the plates are parallel to each other, but one is slipped from back to front of combine. Thanks.

I don't follow you exactly. If you say shaft has been lined up and is OK then the next step is to screw tool on and do what you need to to center pump mount hole to tool. If the plate that bearing holder is secured to has been bent up or welded up from running misaligned ect. you may need to replace or straightened out. A stray drive belt that wraped up around main pulley at one time can put some terrific pressure on things. Good luck
