Combines N6 unload auger height

Had the same problem with our l2's and 83 N7. Extended tubes and auger by 3 feet. On the N7, we put a cable from 2_3rd's along the tube to a reinforced area near the top and back of the grain tank. The cable came tight on full extension of the auger and took the load of the extended auger. Never had any mechanical problems or metal fatigue around the elbow with this setup but occasionaly the auger would not lift if it was stowed while still full of grain.

You can get a new auger set up from abilene machien called "the extender" adds about 3 feet.. I have seen one on an early N7 that had the auger craddle in the mid combine area..I would prefer the craddel be moved farther out back (to the rear) for better support.

I had the same problem with a 84 N7 once and I bought a kit from gleaner that shortened the stroke of the cylinder that extends the auger tube and that raised the unloading height about a foot as I recall.
